WORCESTER -- WPI's Maya Mussel and Coast Guard's Julia Little each totaled eight saves as the Engineers and Bears played 90 minutes on Saturday evening and ended in a 0-0 tie in a NEWMAC women's soccer match-up on H. Carr Field.

Wellesley, MA — Eve Martineau broke a scoreless deadlock with under three minutes remaining as WPI field hockey earned a gritty 1-0 road victory over Wellesley in NEWMAC action played Saturday afternoon at Butler Stadium.

Gorham, ME --- The WPI Volleyball team split a pair of matches at Southern Maine on Saturday. The Engineers opened the day with a tough 3-2 loss at the hands of Western Connecticut (30-28, 24-26, 25-19, 19-25, 15-12), before rebounding to top the hosts, 3-0 (25-9, 25-20, 27-25). The split sets WPI's season mark to 10-12, while the Wolves improve to 16-6 and the Huskies dip to 7-20.

WORCESTER -- Visiting NY Maritime struck early and methodically built a four-score cushion to defeat WPI 28-7 on Saturday at Alumni Stadium. The Engineers slipped to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in NEWMAC play, while the Privateers improved to 5-3 and 3-2 in the conference.

Ithaca, NY --- WPI got things off to a strong start this season with a pair of victories over Hobart (248-36) and host Ithaca 152.50-145.50) on Saturday. The Engineers (2-0) were led to victory by swimmers and divers from all classes as both veterans of the team and newcomers contributed to the wins, with the team today beating Ithaca for the first time in three years.

Ithaca, NY --- The women's swimming and diving team walked away from its season opener with a split decision,n defeating the squad from William Smith (203-85) but falling to host Ithaca (211-83).  The Engineers saw strong performances from top to bottom but were but were propelled to the win over William Smith by a strong underclassmen performance.

Babson Park, MA --- Junior Titus Charles scored once in each half to help Babson defeat visiting WPI, 3-0, in NEWMAC men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Hartwell-Rogers Field.

WORCESTER --- The WPI men's rowing program recorded a top 10 finish at the Wormtown Chase Regatta that took place on Saturday morning on Lake Quinsigamond.
