Men’s Rowing Concludes Fall Slate with a Top 10 Finish in Wormtown Chase Regatta
WORCESTER --- The WPI men's rowing program recorded a top 10 finish at the Wormtown Chase Regatta that took place on Saturday morning on Lake Quinsigamond.
The Engineers had five boats in the Men's Collegiate 8+ event that kicked off at 8:50am that featured 24 boats. WPI's varsity eight boat crossed the buoys at 15:58.3, about 15 seconds off of a top-five time. NCAA Division I Holy Cross clocked in a 14:53.8 time to win the event followed by MIT and Wesleyan who finished neck-and-neck with 15:05.3 and 15:05.5 times respectively to round out the top three.
WPI's B, D and C boats wrapped up their races within 48 seconds of each at as the B boat (16:54.3) placed 13th, D boat (17:28.3) finished 18th, and C that crossed the final buoys for 20th at 17:33.8. WPI's E boat completed the trek at 19:41.9 to wrap up placements for the Crimson and Gray.
WPI will be back in action in April of 2026 for the spring portion of its season.
