With the result, WPI, ranked fifth in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Region II rankings, moves to 9-5-3 on the year and 4-3-2 in conference play.  Coast Guard, which saw its three-match winning streak snapped while simultaneously extending its unbeaten streak to four, is now 4-10-3 overall and 3-5-1 in NEWMAC action.

Both teams wore blue in pregame to bring awareness in the fight against Colorectal Cancar and in support of WPI head coach Steph Riley-SchaferFans were reminded that Colonoscopies are recommended for anyone over the age of 45 and encouraged to support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.  Thank you to everyone who came out to support this effort today in making sure that No One Fights Alone!

For the game, the Engineers outshot the Bears 20-12 but both teams directed eight shots on goal with WPI holding a slight 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.  WPI's Katie Adiletta (Bolton, MA) paced all players with five shots, including four on frame, with Maeve Steckley (Rochester, NY) uncorking four shots and Sera Brunner (Littleton, CO) three.  Anabelle Pezzullo (Ashaway, RI) and Arwen Wise (Weatherford, TX) both unleashed three shots for the guests.
