SHARP Session 1: Writing Time Management

The Research Solutions Institute (RSI) Invites You to   Strategies for High-Impact Academic Research Proposals (SHARP) Series   Series Description: SHARP is more than training. It’s a strategic investment in your research career. A dynamic, in-person training series SHARP equips faculty with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to craft competitive, compelling research proposals. Whether you're new to federal funding or looking to sharpen your edge, SHARP offers hands-on guidance and personalized support to help you succeed.  What you’ll gain: •Expert Coaching on every stage of proposal development; Time Management Techniques to stay focused and productive; Persuasive Writing Strategies that resonate with reviewers; •Graphics & Visuals Development to enhance clarity and impact; Budget Planning Guidance to align with agency expectations; •Funding Opportunity Navigation to find the right fit; •AI Tools for Research Development to streamline your workflow  Format: These in-Person Sessions are Interactive workshops with real-time feedback, peer collaboration, and direct access to proposal development experts. The series consists of 7-8,  1.5 hr  sessions each tackling different topics in the proposal development life cycle.  Who should attend and why: Faculty across disciplines who are actively preparing proposals for federal research funding — including NIH, NSF, DOE, NEH, and others. Federal funding is competitive — SHARP gives you the edge.    SHARP Series Session 1: Writing Time Management   October 21, 2025 | 12-1:30 pm | Unity Hall 405   Session Co-ordinator Bio: The session will be conducted by our external expert Dr. Justine Pinskey. Dr. Pinskey is the Sr. Scientific Writer for the Investigator Career Advancement Program (iCAP) at UMass Chan Medical School.
