A Christmas tree can ignite and burn in seconds, especially if not properly watered and maintained. Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Department of Fire Protection Engineering and WPI’s chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers hosted this demonstration. The tree in the front is dry. The tree in the back is watered.
