Wireless Network Update

Intermittent connectivity is expected for the wireless network and Remote Access Points (RAPs) during maintenance.

The maintenance window has been scheduled to reduce the impact on RAPs, especially now that they host critical university telephones. The duration of the outage is typically five to fifteen minutes, depending on the speed of the home network the RAP operates on. After the update completes, users may notice:

  • The AVAYA Phone screen may blink and appear to reboot.
  • The two green lights on the side of the Aruba RAP may start blinking.
  • There is no user action required. The RAP and phone will reconnect as rapidly as they can.
