New Gladwin Gallery Exhibit ft. the History of WPI's ECE Department!

The annual WPI Archives & Special Collections exhibit is now open on the ground floor of Gordon Library. Currents of Change explores WPI’s central role in electrifying a new era and how its Electrical Engineering (EE) Department (later renamed Electrical and Computer Engineering, or ECE) helped illuminate a world in transition—from gas lamps and dynamos to radio waves and relay systems. Just as the Washburn Shops gave form to the First American Industrial Revolution, the early classrooms and labs of EE shaped a new kind of progress—one defined by innovation, power, and the promise of connection. Check out our new Digital Exhibits platform for access to a virtual walkthrough of past installations, including The First Century: Washburn Shops at the Horizon of America's Industrial Revolution & Beyond
