Baseball’s Cash Collects College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Citation
WORCESTER — WPI Baseball's Andrew Cash (Marlboro, MA) has been selected to the 2025 NCAA Division III College Sports Communicators (CSC) Baseball Academic All-America Second Team, as announced today.
Cash becomes the third player in program history to earn Academic All-America honors, joining Ryan Tropeano '19 and Jacob Hand '24 as the only Engineers to receive the national accolade. With Cash's selection, WPI now boasts 71 different student-athletes who have achieved Academic All-America recognition, marking the 108th time a WPI student-athlete has earned the prestigious honor.
The Marlboro native is a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree and a three-time NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selection as he added to his impressive senior campaign by earning All-Region honors from both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) this spring. Cash was named First Team All-Region by D3baseball.com and ABCA First Team honors, both at the designated hitter role.
A standout at the plate, Cash turned in one of the most productive offensive seasons for the Crimson and Gray, batting .361 with a team-high 11 home runs and 42 RBIs across 34 games. The senior designated hitter and outfielder compiled 43 hits, including eight doubles and a triple, while finishing with a .723 slugging percentage and .455 on-base percentage.
In the classroom, Cash is a computer science major who carries an impressive 3.88 cumulative GPA.
WPI Baseball concluded the 2025 campaign with 14 wins and celebrated multiple academic and athletic honors throughout the season.
